Dear Team 801 Parents and/or Guardians:

        It is hard to believe, but we are just about half-way through your child’s eighth grade year.  The time to schedule parent/teacher mid-year conferences is quickly approaching.  Conferences will be held Wednesday February 29, 2012 and Tuesday March 6, 2012 both nights from 4:00 until 7:00 pm.  

        As a team, we have met and discussed every student’s current performance level and rate of success.  Based on our meetings, we have identified those students who we feel are academically at risk at this time.  Due to a limited about of conference spaces; we will be contacting those parents who we feel necessary to meet with concerning their child’s academic struggles.  Individual phone calls requesting a conference will be made in the next few weeks. If you feel the need to meet with us even if your child is not struggling, you can contact the office after February 14^th to schedule a time.

        Thank you for your time.  We are looking forward to the second half of the year helping your child successfully complete eighth grade and his/her middle school experience.

I have added the link to download FirstClass at home on the left side of this page. Keep in mind once you download it you must read the directions I have included in the  "Directions for Powerschool and FirstClass" link on the left side of this page. FirstClass is for students only so you will need to ask your student for his/her username and password if you want access. I have also included directions for using PowerSchool in the same link. Please remember that the PowerSchool Parent Account Set Up Directions alone won't help unless you have your access ID and password. Most of our 8th grade parents received account information letters in January 2011. If you did not receive this information, please email me, Mr. Porterfield, and I will send that information on so you can gain access. Please feel free to email me with any questions.
